“Most of these horses come to me from people who have experienced tragedy in their family. For example, Cambridge belonged to a young girl who abruptly lost her mother, and could not face riding without her. Amos came to me as an off-the-track horse in need of a new job, and although he loves cross-country and never had a jump fault that I can recall, and has even filled in for an injured horse in 3’6” IEL medal classes. He went from one job to another as the various kids moved through the ranks, but he deserves his own person, as so many of these lovely OTTBs do.”
Bunnie regularly takes in talented green horses, but not all can excel in eventing or live in a pasture. With her busy training program, Shepherd Ranch’s limited boarding facility ends up being filled with horses in training. Please help us find homes for these deserving horses!
These horses are dear friends and should have useful and productive lives. Adoptions fees are negotiable but ALWAYS include a NO SALE/SLAUGHTER clause and a facility check.
